The Rugby Football Club is sad to announce the death of former prop Trevor Revan, one of our truly great players who was an integral part of the Lions success in the late 80’s and 90’s.
A giant of a man, both on and off the pitch, Trevor passed away on the morning of Friday 11th October after a long battle against cancer.
Chairman Mal Malik commented, ‘We have truly lost a club legend who was at the heart of the Lions success for over a decade from the mid-80’s. A good friend to many of us, he will be a huge loss at Webb Ellis Road.’
Former Lions Captain and front row colleague Steve Brain was equally saddened at losing a close friend and colleague at such an early age. ‘Trevor was the rock, around whom we built our scrum and a formidable pack, which was such an integral part of our success. He loved his time at the Lions and will be sorely missed by colleagues and the rugby fraternity.’
Trevor’s funeral will take place at the Rainsbrook Crematorium, Ashlawn Road, Rugby CV22 5QQ on Thursday 7th November at 12 noon, followed by the Wake and a celebration of Trevor’s life at the Rugby Football Club, Webb Ellis Road, Rugby CV22 7AU at approximately 1pm, where everyone is welcome.
