Rugby Lions marketing opportunities – unstoppable power
With plans for the 2013-14 season already well underway – league readmission
being sanctioned, player-coach and associated team appointed, pitch being
reseeded and kits designed and ordered (keep an eye out for the release date) –
attention at Webb Ellis Road is now turning towards the commercial opportunities
available to potential sponsors of the club and its ground.
The Rugby Lions clubhouse, the subject of a recent overhaul, is one of the most
– if not the most – impressive venues from which to witness a sporting event in
Rugby and district; and the team remains popular amongst a discerning audience.
So, the opportunities for commercial sponsorship of a club as popular as The
Lions are of interest to businesses of all sizes and disciplines. Compared to
paper-based adverts, where the reader may have a few moments for see and digest
an advert, the attendance at Webb Ellis Road are a captive audience for almost
an hour and a half.
Club sponsor, KUKA Robotics, have already taken 4 advertising boards at Webb
Ellis Road, and another major sponsor – to be unveiled in the coming weeks – has
committed to another five. With other parties committed, including kit supplier
Akuma, it is envisaged the stand opposite the clubhouse will be sold-out
within the month’
Other opportunities elsewhere in the ground are liable to be equally popular; so
if you would like to enquire as to how your business could maximise the exposure
of an advertising board at Webb Ellis Road; please mail the club as soon as
possible.
The coverage of Premiership rugby on Sky Sports, combined with the fervour of
the Australian Lions tour means the visibility of the game that bears the name
of our town has never been higher; and if one factors in the building interest
of the 2015 World Cup, sponsorship of your local high-profile team has never
been a more compelling proposition. Book now to avoid disappointment!
